THE BIG FAMILY DAY IN MOLOVEGEN!
Come all children and meet the fox in love, the self-absorbed squirrel, salsa-dancing cows and many more funny characters, when the fine musicians in the band «Lekerommet» play the concert «Kyllingen som ikke kan singge» at Teaterfabrikken! This is the story of the nice chicken who is tired of the dirty life on the farm. He dreams of one day living in the castle itself, and he will achieve this by melting the king’s heart with beautiful song. The problem is just that the chicken can not sing. During the show, we meet many strange animals that can hopefully help the chicken, including a fox in love, a self-absorbed squirrel, salsa-dancing cows and many more. Children and adults can all join in the dancing and singing to help the chicken on its class trip. The performance consists of only self-written lyrics and music for children about 2-6 years and lasts for 40 minutes.
About the Playroom:
The trio Lekerommet met on the jazz line at the Grieg Academy and wrote this concert for the Bergen Festival in 2014. Later, it has been played on Bajazz, Moldejazz, Nattjazz, Kongsbergjazz, Mandaljazz and toured in all corners of the country. In 2017, the music was released on CD on the Bergen Jazz Forum’s label where the physical copy has a booklet with fantastic illustrations by Marie Hjelmerud.
