Coney workshop

ABOUT CONEY
The British theater company Coney will hold a workshop for professional (stage) artists on Friday 28. September. The workshop will span a working day and focus on Coney’s methods and processes in working with his own performances.
Coney creates interactive theater that is in close interaction with the audience both in process and during the finished performance. Workshop participants will learn skills and tools for creating responsive performing arts using game design, prototypes and new technology. They will look at Lo-fi technical tools that Coney himself uses in his work and innovative ways of interacting with the audience.
When the workshop is over, the participants will bring with them practical tools for planning and preparing interactive works that make use of technology where it is smart to do so, and they will see both opportunities and challenges with just this.
The workshop is open to actors and other professional artists.
ABOUT CREATIVE FORUM
Creative Forum is a series of events about new digital platforms and the opportunities and concerns these – rightly or wrongly – create.
Technology and art have little to do with each other, or is it not like that anymore? Technology is an increasingly intertwined part of our everyday lives and of the life art must reflect (above). We will gather researchers and artists who work with new media and the questions the possibilities in them raise, for workshops, lectures and open discussions.
Creative Forum is part of a four-year EU project; Platform shift +, which is about Performing Arts, children and young people and new digital media. Creative Forum is Teatret Vårt’s national project under this umbrella and we work with a small series of events in collaboration with the festival Høstscena and with the Norwegian Actors’ Center. We will be arranging pop-vit lectures; Open seminars or conversations where high-profile profiled speakers will speak for us «ordinary people», a workshop for young people, and one for professional artists from the region and beyond.
OUR THEATER
