About Havgula art and hobby teams
Havgula is a member team at Harøy in the former municipality of Sandøy. It was established on 03.10.90. On 24/03/98, the team bought Austrevegen 46 from Harøy Indremisjon. The house is believed to have been built in the 1920s as Austre Harøen Handelslag (later Harøy Samvirkelag). Here there is a shop where members can hand in handmade products for sale on commission. The commission on the saddle is the team’s source of income. Anyone who makes applied art for the hall can be a member. Some members are active and are responsible for running the shop. People who are, for example, on disability benefits or old-age pensions can increase their quality of life by selling what they make and get money for new materials. Everything is based on voluntary work. The Havgula art and hobby team would like more members, and if you create anything you can imagine selling, they would like to have you as member. You can, even if you just want to deliver goods or help by taking shifts in the store.
