We try, again, we try to build on the hope of the future and community. It is a paradoxical time, with extreme changes. Everything is uncertain. Everything stands quiet, but at the same time everything is at stake. Gradually we will open. Gradually shall we, again, think that nothing is impossible. What can we hope for? Kan we quit to talk about what we do not want? Can we talk about what we dream of? Can we present visions for opportunities that exist? Do we manage – at least the hour the show lasts – to stay optimistic? Do we manage – to do something together?
Faith, Hope and Thermodynamics is the third part of a trilogy that started with Stat & Ecstasy (2016) and DIY (2018). With the performance, the stage collective wants STATEX to explore fundamental issues related to hope for the future and community, and what room we have for thinking adring. The project takes place both outside and inside, with conversations, construction, dance, movement, text, music and physical installations.
