Høstscena, Møre og Romsdal Art Centre, Møre og Romsdal County Council and Ålesund Municipality invite you to a seminar on art in place development. The seminar focuses on how art and artists can help develop cities and towns.

During the day, there will be presentations of good examples where art has been an active part of local development. Odd Fredrik Heiberg shares experiences from the development of the Skien Artists’ Village. We will also hear from Steinar Haugen, who worked for many years with the development of public art projects in Skaun municipality, Mads Pålsrud from Growlab, and others.

KORO is participating in the seminar and will talk about the Local Community Scheme/LOK and the opportunities that exist with art in local development.

There will also be a workshop facilitated by Piwot (https://www.piwot.no/). There we will work on how to create good site development projects together with artists and how to apply for project funding. It is possible to bring your own project idea and get help with project sketches during the workshop.
